BIC - Against the Clock : Rotaract Club of Manama-Salmaniya held its 14th annual charity event under the name of Against the Clock (ATC) in Bahrain International Circuit (BIC). Teams were racing against time in many physical and mental challenges and trophies was given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd winners, as well as the best-dressed team and the team with the best cheering crowd. Teams: Bahrain Polytechnic, BBK, zain, menatelecom, Standard Chartered Bank, unicef, Bahrain National Insurance (BNI), Ahlia University (Pirates, Incredible), American Express, KPMG, Ernst & Young and Bahrain TV. ATC was held under the patronage of Royal Charity Organization chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The main sponsor of ATC was Bahrain National Insurance. The event was also sponsored by Zain and supported by BIC.

Mohamed Ghuloom : I want to thank you personally for visiting LENS Photography. My name is Mohamed Ghuloom and I am the founder and photographer of LENS Photography. Speaking of LENS, people always think that the word "LENS" is meant for the camera lens. However it stands for a very different concept. That concept is: "Let Every New Shine" and "Live Every New Second". That's how I see the world through LENS Photography. I am very interested in modeling as well. Take a look at my pictures, add a short comment on those you like, and if you need me for any advertisement work, just send a line and we'll talk about it. I know that there are a lot of good looking Bahraini models out there, but I feel that because I am a photographer shooting portraits most of the time, I know how to make people look good, and how to look good myself. Let's get back to photography, and specially in Bahrain. My respect and honor to all the Bahraini photographers specially Ahmed Zayer, Fardan Raffii, and Ali Al Riffai. Still haven't been honored to meet these wonderful photographers, have a talk, share information, and help them out if needed. I'm not a competitive person. If I shoot this exact spot, nobody will shoot an exact duplicate, that's why everyone is unique in his own creation. Yes, similarity is there, but an original photographer always looks for something unique. I enjoy sharing photography information with many foreign photographers I know, I learn from them, and they learn from me, raising up the standards, that's all what is needed. To not make it longer, I am a Multimedia Applications graduate and currently studying business in Bahrain Polytechnic. I probably spent a lot of hours just getting lectures about color matching, font types and sizes, etc.. and if I can help in any way, send a line again. Kids : Kids are the joy of life, I mean when they don't cry and cry and cry all the time. Below are pictures of some of our clients who wanted a photo session for their kids, to see them beautiful and create memories for them when they grow up. LENS Photography is proudly and uniquely having the most naturalistic photo service when it comes to kids. We love it as it is, but we're smart enough to bring out your kid's personality in no time. I've always wanted this for LENS Photography and that was because of my hatred of some existing studios that ruined my life. For e.g they let the kid put his hand under his chin and some other fake moves, which totally kill the memories of the photo. Now that I am 21, I have nothing of my past. That's a lesson. So what you will do after the photo session? You can have those pictures printed, put them on mugs, gifts, and other items. Visit the Services section later to see all your options. You can just have them on a CD as well. Of course for all these, you need to own a credit card, because that's how LENS Photography is doing business.

Entrepreneurs Day : On 24th May 2009, AIESEC held an event under the name of Entrepreneurs Day with the slogan of "Developing Business Leaders of Tomorrow". Entrepreneurs Day was in partnership with: BDB (Bahrain Development Bank - بنك البحرين للتنمية) Bahrain 2030 Tamkeen (تمكين) and the Gold Sponsor: Gpic (جيبك) and the Silver Sponsor: Chevron (Human Energy). Also, Bahrain's top leading companies like Film2Go, Ghusoon, CEIG (Contemporary Elite Investment Group LP), and Synectics attended the event and gave some workshops and lectures. Fine Arts : Beauty of life is presented in fine art images. What I love about this type of photography is that you can use it for anything. Starting from advertisements creation, magazine use, to personal canvas prints to hang on walls. We do have a canvas type that you can purchase and called 'Giclee'. It's a term started to be used in 1980s, for any photo that was printed with the best kind of printers. So if you had this wow looking photo, people would say: "wow, you have a Giclee one". Giclee prints started to be used a lot in royal families and their mansions. It's a very hard work to make these canvases. A lot of hand work, spray job, texture adding, etc.. What is special about Giclee is that it gives you a very realistic look on a textured canvas (to add some 3 dimensions look and feel). Then sprayed with special liquids to maintain durability (Giclee lasts for approximately 200 years). You can print these small, medium, or really big, and we're the only ones in Bahrain providing that. Hang them on your wall and add some beauty to your house, or organization. I know the price is little high, but it's all worth it. Keep in mind that 40% of what you pay goes to charity organizations to help poverty and family abuse issues. Well, ordering Giclee canvas is available through all the galleries (not specifically Fine Arts). Riffa Fort : Built by Sh.Salman Bin Ahmed ( al fateh) Al Khalifa, in 1812, Riffa Fort or (Arabic: قلعة الرفاع‎; transliterated: Qal'at ar-Rifa') it is now named ( Sh.Salman bin Ahmed Fort) , in the Kingdom of Bahrain offers a splendid view across the Hunanaiya valley. With Riffa being home to the seat of government until 1869, this fort was strategically important in its day. Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, the present Amir's great great-grandfather, ruled Bahrain from 1869 to 1932. His house in Muharraq provides a glimpse of royal life in the 19th century, complete with architecture and wall carvings belonging to that era.
